Here’s an update to the animated short film I’ve been working on – this is just a quick speedpainting, serving as a study for the set and environment. 10 roadblocks that prevent a production from moving forward
Having spent most of my career in a project-based environments, I’ve experienced a variety of different production techniques, leadership styles, and pipeline processes; both successful and unsuccessful. The projects have run the gamut. Some of them have been fun and some of them were life-draining but worth almost every moment. Every production has its challenges and there’s not one that will go absolutely perfect. However, we need to do all we can to remove the as many frustrations as possible. In my own experience, the most frustrating thing I’ve seen teams face is a production which is stagnant or without direction. More frustrating then working for a bad boss, more painful then working countless hours in crunch time, and more mind-numbing than watching paint dry are the efforts of an unproductive or vision-less project. There may be many causes behind such a production, yet there are several common characteristics that seem to be prevalent among them. Here is what I have found:

3 Days and 60 miles in the fight to end breast cancer
I just finished building a logo for the ‘Girls Gone Pink’ 2010 Atlanta 3-Day team. The team is currently raising financial support as they join with thousands of other women from around the country to find a cure for breast cancer.
