“Up on the magic screen”

“Stories don’t give answers, but they do offer perspective.” – Dan Allender

Short film – Production Design

Over the coming weeks and months, I’ll be sharing some of the concept work I’m putting together for a 3D animated short film that I’m working on – something that I can work on for fun in my spare time! Actually, what’s spare time? This has been a fun little side project, and it’s shaping into quite a funny little story. Here’s a start to some of the set and background design from the early stages when I started blocking the idea out. Hopefully you will enjoy watching the progression of the film’s design and please feel free to share your feedback! At a later point, I’ll be revealing a little bit more about the story, and I plan on putting together a separate blog for the film as well, but for now…please enjoy the pre-production phase!

Here’s a rough sketch for the environment in which the film’s taking place…the swamps of the Louisiana Bayou!
