This is a treehouse my kids and I are designing and plan on, hopefully, building soon. As they say… “everything is time and money” and, well…. let’s just say we need a little of both!
Some of the features include: trapdoor, rope & pulley system, and a front lookout point with a dutch door. As for the inside…that’s all up to the kids to just run with!
The goal in designing this was to come up with something that is, of course, fun for the kids to play with, but also something which combines two different elements. First, I wanted to come up with something that fits within the Craftsman-style look, so as to match what we’re also (slowly) in the process of remodeling and styling our home toward. Also, I wanted to come up with a design that feels somewhat like a mountain lodge. I love all the adventurous memories I have of growing up and visiting different national parks with my family and I think this will fit well with the backyard, and provide an opportunity for us to attach little signs and souvenirs of places my family likes to go to! Question: Do you have any thoughts or suggestions you’d like to give before we build it?
